Description
Animated Sumatran Tiger 3D Model with Hair and Fur
This fully rigged and animated Sumatran tiger 3D model is a production-grade asset for film, VFX, and close-up rendering. The coat is groomed with the native 3ds Max Hair and Fur modifier — no third-party plug-ins — and 8K textures hold up under extreme close-ups. It ships with walk and run cycles plus a deep library of poses and expressions. Final images rendered with Arnold.
Rigging and Animation
Rigged with the 3ds Max CAT system, with full FK and IK control.
- Walk and run cycles, with motion paths and ground layers included for scene integration.
- Absolute poses: Default, Aggressive, Standing, Defence, Sitting, Rest, Looking Side, and Jump.
- Adjustment layers: Head Up, Run Adjustment, Mouth Closed, Roar, Angry, Eyes Closed, Head Shake, and Head Look Side.
- Layered structure built for fast customisation — stack and blend layers rather than rebuilding animation.
Hair and Fur
- Groomed with the native 3ds Max Hair and Fur modifier — offline rendering in 3ds Max and Arnold, no plug-ins required.
- Six dedicated growth objects for precise fur distribution, isolated on their own layer so you can toggle fur off while animating.
- Hair guides exported per region, so you can adjust or restore the groom at any point.
- The base mesh, textures, and rig export to FBX for engine use — the Hair and Fur groom itself is render-only.
Textures (8K)
- Body: 8K diffuse and bump; 4K specular.
- Hair: 8K diffuse.
- Mouth: 4K diffuse and bump; 1K normal.
- Eyes: 1K diffuse, specular, and cover maps.
- Specular/gloss workflow; all materials applied and mapped.
What's Included
- Body, mouth, and eyes modelled separately for easy material assignment.
- Subdivision-ready quad mesh — TurboSmooth for extreme close-ups.
- Anatomically accurate Sumatran tiger proportions at real-world scale.
- Logically named and grouped objects; no cleanup on import.
Suitable for film, VFX, cinematics, character animation, and high-end close-up rendering.
